Precautions

  • keep out of reach of children
  • keep in tightly closed container
  • keep away from fire
  • do not smoke, SAVONA is highly flammable

 

Preparation of solution

  • mix the required amount of product with the required amount of water in a tank and stir well
  • use soft water (rain- or mainswater)
  • spray immediately after preparation

 

Target

Soft bodied insects such as whiteflies, thrips, aphids, mealybugs and leafhoppers.

SAVONA can be used as a corrective measure in biological control systems.

Application and dose

  • apply with any type of normal spraying equipment
  • treat all plant parts where the pest needs to be controlled
  • pay attention to the undersides of the leaves

 

Environmental conditions

Avoid spraying in bright sunny conditions, at high temperatures or when plants are under stress.

 

Storage and handling

  • storage after receipt: maximum 3 years (preferably in a dark place)
  • storage temperature: frost-proof
  • in original, unopened package

 

Remarks

  • application should be conducted as per label recommendations
  • SAVONA can have adverse effects on beneficials that are hit by spray but has no residual toxicity to any insect
  • reintroduce beneficials after application of SAVONA when the crop has dried
  • if effects on crop or variety are unknown spray a small test area first to verify the effect of SAVONA on the plant

 

Mode of action

SAVONA controls pests through contact.
