  • turn and shake bottle gently before use
  • spread material on leaves or in application boxes (DIBOX)
  • distribute the content of each bottle evenly over 30-50 places in the crop
  • leave the bottle in the greenhouse for at least one week

Environmental conditions

Eretmocerus spp. performs best at a 24 hour average greenhouse temperature greater than 20°C. However introductions can start at lower temperatures.

At higher temperatures (above 30°C) Eretmocerus spp. stays active.

Storage and handling

  • storage after receipt: 1-2 days
  • storage temperature: 8-10°C
  • in the dark

Remarks

  • Eretmocerus spp. is less susceptible to pesticides than Encarsia formosa.
  • this product is specially meant for crops where Trialeurodes vaporariorum and Bemisia tabaci occur simultaneously
  • BEMIMIX and BEMIPAR are guaranteed to be absolutely free from TYLCV (tomato yellow leaf curl virus)

Appearance

Female adults: lemon-yellow

Male adults: brownish-yellow, thick antennae

Other stages: develop inside host. The larvae of the parasite move the intestines of the whitefly larvae to its periphery.

Mode of action

Female adult parasitic wasp parasitizes the larva of the whitefly. Host feeding also takes place.

Visual effect

After about 2 weeks, the first parasitized pupae can be seen in the crop. The parasitized whitefly pupa turns yellow in colour and is independent of species. The adult parasitic wasp emerges from the pupa through a round hole.
