Target
Aphids, in particular the potato aphid Macrosiphum euphorbiae and the glasshouse potato aphid Aulacorthum solani. APHILIN also has a side effect against Myzus persicae.

Introduction
- release mummies near infested plants, as Aphelinus abdominalis is not very mobile
- spread material on rockwool slabs or in application boxes (DIBOX)
- make sure the material remains at its introduction site for a few days

Appearance
Adults: size 2.5-3 mm, short legs, short antennae, black thorax, yellow abdomen
Other stages: develop inside host
Mode of action
Female adult parasitic wasp parasitizes the aphid. Host feeding also takes place.
Visual effect
Parasitized aphid hardens into a leathery black coloured mummy. The adult parasitic wasp emerges through a hole with a jagged edge at the rear of the mummy. The first mummies can be seen in the crop a minimum of 2 weeks after the first introduction.
