Environmental conditions Soil must be moist but not too wet, preferably rich in organic matter, with an open structure and minimum temperature of 15°C/59°F.

Appearance Adults: size to 1 mm, brown Larvae/first nymphal stage: white
Mode of action Adults and nymphs feed on larvae of sciarid flies and other soil living insects.
Visual effect The mites can be observed in and on the soil and at the base of plant stems. Hypoaspis miles seldom occurs on the plants. Slow but steady reduction of the infestation level will take place.
