Remarks Orius lays a large proportion of its eggs in (side) shoots. Avoid unnecessary loss of these eggs by introducing THRIPOR directly after removing side shoots.
Appearance Adults: black with grey/white/brown sections on wings, 1.4-2.4 mm Eggs: hardly visible, embedded in leaf tissue Young nymphs: yellow Older nymphs: yellow with orange spots
Mode of action Adults and nymphs pierce thrips larvae and adults with their sucking mouthparts and suck out the contents.
Visual effect Thrips shrivel after being eaten by Orius, and are therefore difficult to see in the crop.
