Introduction
- open bottle in the glasshouse
- spread the material, introduce the pupae into DIBOX, close to the mealybug colonies
- protect the parasites from being attacked by ants
Environmental conditions
Leptomastix is most effective between 24-27°C/76-80°F, but can be used from 18°C/65°F.

Appearance
Adults: size 3 mm, yellow-brown, very long antennae, slightly bent
Eggs and larvae: develop inside host
Mummie: yellow-brown, striped
Mode of action
Adult female wasp parasitizes the mealybug.
Visual effect
Parasitized mealybug swells and changes into a hard, yellow-brown striped mummy. Adult wasp emerges through a round hole in the mummy. At 24°C/76°F it will take ± 3 weeks from release until the first mummies are visible in the crop.
