Pack size: paper sachet with hook

Contains: predatory mites + storage mites (all stages) mixed with bran, 100 or 500 sachets per outer. One sachet produces at least 1.000 predatory mites.

 


Target
Two spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae), fruit spider mite (Panonychus ulmi), Raoiella indica (Red palm mite), Panonynchus citri (Citrus red mite), Begoniamijt (Polyphagotarsonemus latus), broad mite (Tarsonemus pallides) and false spider mite (Brevipalpus spp.). All stages, preferring younger stages. Predatory mites also survive on other mites and pollen and can survive for a number of weeks without food.

Introduction

  • hang sachets in the crop
  • sachets already have exit hole
  • hold sachets by the cardboard strip at the top, else predatory mites are easily damaged

 

Environmental conditions
Amblyseius californicus tolerates high temperatures and low humidities

Storage and handling

  • storage after receipt: 1-2 days
  • storage temperature: 17-20°C/63-68°F
  • in the dark
  • provide ventilation to prevent CO2 accumulation

 

Remarks
Amblyseius californicus tolerates a range of chemical pesticides. Always use SPICAL-PLUS in conjunction with SPIDEX.
 
Appearance
Mobile stages: transparant white-orange to yellow, droplet shaped, short legs, looks like Amblyseius cucumeris
Eggs: oblong, transparant to white, attached to hairs along veins on the underside of leaves
 
Mode of action
Adult predatory mites, nymphs and larvae actively search for their prey and suck them empty.
