Assimilate uptake and transfer during crop development stages
Pollination and fruit formation potential
How does Vidi Terrum work?
Plants use carbohydrates and nitrogen, amongst other things, to produce proteins in the leaves. These proteins are essential for strengthening cell walls, enzyme activity and internal plant signaling. Protein synthesis starts with the formation of amino-acids. A plant is typically able to naturally produce 20 known essential amino acids. However, a healthy mix of natural L-amino acids will support efficient protein synthesis, especially when there are limiting conditions.
By promoting effective protein synthesis there are a multitude of knock-on benefits, including: a reduction in the build-up of nitrates that in turn attract unwanted pests, an increased opportunity to maintain crop and assimilate balance, quicker recovery from stress, and maintaining the metabolic engine of the plant throughout the crop production cycle.
Amino acids are building blocks for proteins that are essential for the maintenance and growth of all living organisms, including plants. For optimal plant growth and performance, it is therefore important that a rich variation in L-form amino acids are available to the crop. The unique properties of Vidi Terrum, the inputs and precise extraction process, ensure the plant based amino acids are easily absorbed and assimilated through the leaves and roots.

How to use Vidi Terrum
Application methods
Preparation of the solution
Shake the jerry can with Vidi Terrum thoroughly before use
The application tank should be filled with half the required water prior to adding the Vidi Terrum
Add the correct amount of Vidi Terrum to the spray solution
Mix thoroughly
Fill up the application tank
Apply
Optimum response only occurs when the product is taken up by the plant, either through the roots or leaves
Applying as drench or via the irrigation system
A separate tank/container is recommended for the proper preparation and application of the products
Always apply Vidi Terrum to the irrigation water after the sand filter, ideally directly injected at the irrigation valve (by means of a Dosatron or Venturi)
Avoid drainage in substrates when applying drench/drip applications to prevent leaching
Make sure Vidi Terrum does not remain in the irrigation system during the night
Use disinfectants regularly to keep the irrigation system clean, but do not use Vidi Terrum at the same time as the disinfectant
Ensure that the concentration of Vidi Terrum is higher than 200ppm at the plant
Ensure that the drench reaches the root zone. Penetrant adjuvants can be applied to assist transport to the root zone
Applying as a foliar
Always ensure that the spray tank is clean
Ensure good crop coverage
Application rates are based on 1000 litres spray volume per ha
Optimize crop response with addition of a sticker adjuvant
Applying as a mist/fog
Low volume, cold mist equipment
Ensure good crop coverage

The information given above is the recommended standard. Tailored advice requires detailed information on local factors, such as the crop itself, climate conditions and the desired response. Consult a Koppert specialist or a recognized distributor of Koppert products for further information. Non-toxic and completely safe to use. No micro-organisms are added to the extract, nor are any animal by-products or artificial hormones employed. No synthetic or harmful chemicals have been used in the extraction process.
Compatibility
Tank mix compatible with most soluble fertilizers and pesticide applications. However, it is recommended and good practise to test any mix for unexpected reactions. It is also recommended to test the mix on a few plants prior to extensive use of any mix.
Results
Vidi Terrum yields excellent results. A single spray of a bean crop under suboptimal conditions (in a plastic tunnel) with 0.2% Vidi Terrum showed a visible and measurable result after just two weeks: 16% more fruit formation and improved uniformity.
Two sprayings on young apple trees resulted in a significant increase in shoot length, which is an important characteristic of tree quality.
5% increase in the dry weight of the above ground plant parts in the propagation of cucumbers in optimal conditions.
