Use for

Use the Halyosan trap for trapping males and females of Halyomorpha halys in combination with a species-specific aggregation pheromone.

Pests

Brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys).

Crops

Apple, pear, kiwi, peach, cherry, and outdoor tomato and pepper crops.

Mode of action

The Halyosan trap needs to be used in combination with a species-specific aggregation pheromone. Bugs are attracted to the pheromone and enter the trap. Once inside, they cannot escape.

Directions for use

Preparation

  • Interlock the vanes
  • Place the conical tube on the vanes
  • Place the pheromone dispenser on the tube
  • Place the obstruction ring that avoids that the adults escape from the trap on top of the conical tube
  • Finally place the bucket on top of the obstruction ring

Application

  • Place the traps at the edge of the premise, at a height of 1 to 2 meters
  • For intensive monitoring place multiple traps with a minimum distance of 20 m between them
  • Never place the traps inside the crop as this may increase damage in the direct vicinity of the traps

Dosage

4 traps per hectare.

Timing

April-October.

Combined use

Use in combination with species-specific aggregation pheromone.

Storage conditions

Store out of sunlight.
