From 9 March onward, Siger Spaans will join Koppert as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Siger brings broad international experience in financial leadership across retail and consumer-focused businesses. He held several senior finance roles within Ahold Delhaize and most recently served as CFO of the Borealis Hotel Group.
With over 25 years of experience in financial management and transformation, Siger has a strong track record in driving financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth. His background in complex, international environments will support Koppert in its next phase of development. “I am very much looking forward to joining Koppert and contributing to the company’s continued international development. I’m excited to work with the team to further strengthen financial performance and support sustainable, long-term growth,” says Siger Spaans.
Siger will succeed Erik-Jan Verdegaal who joined two years ago and played an important role in reinforcing Koppert’s financial foundation and enhancing the maturity of the finance organization, creating clarity and stability for the next stage of growth.
