Active participation at World Expo Dubai

The world fair – Expo Dubai 2020 – is in full swing and Koppert will be participating in a number of plenary sessions with key-note speakers, panel discussions, and interactive workshops together with a number of internationally operating Dutch companies, high-level government officials and investors.
The theme for discussions on Tuesday, 22 February, will be ‘Ecosystem Approach for Food Production’. Key-note speakers will include Dutch Greenhouse Delta CEO, Eric Egberts, Priva CEO Meine Prins, Futurologist on innovation, Christian Kromme, and Head of Protected Vegetable Seeds at Bayer Crop Science, Anne Williams.

Workshops will be held on a number of Sustainability Development Goals and Koppert will take part in discussions moderated by our Marketing Communication Manager Mattijs Bodegom. Koppert will also attend the Hoogendoorn Expo 2020 Dubai event on Plant Empowerment at the Netherlands Pavilion on 23 February. This will be followed by a networking dinner. The events are part of the Food for Future Summit held on 23 and 24 February at the Dubai Exhibition Centre.

‘The Gulf Region itself is undergoing unprecedented development in sustainable cultivation, much of it promoted and supported by the government that seeks to improve health and nutrition in the region,’ says Yassin Lahiani, Koppert’s Area Manager for the Middle East, North Africa and India. ‘We are well established in the Gulf. Koppert has served growers here for more than 20 years.’

Hosted by the United Arab Emirates, Expo Dubai 2020 runs till 31 March. It aims to inspire sustainable transformation by showcasing the latest technology and innovation.
