Full participation at ABIM in Basel

A full team of Koppert professionals will be present at the Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting (ABIM) to be held in Basel, Switzerland, on 19 and 20 October. ABIM is the meeting place for the biocontrol industry and Koppert will once again sponsor the conference and participate in the discussions.

Global Manager Regulatory Affairs Evert Hamblok: ‘At ABIM we can speak with high level policy makers from the EU Commission, senior experts from consultancy companies and colleagues from our industry in one place. Regulations are changing all the time. We need to be on top of those changes and that is what we do during ABIM.’

Panel discussions

During the TV style newsreel/panel discussions, Koppert’s Director of Corporate Marketing, Peter Maes, will take part in discussions about the role of biocontrol in transforming agriculture and how to speed up market access for biocontrol. Another key topic in this year’s programme is ‘Innovation enabling technologies related to biocontrol efficiency’ and Koppert’s Product Manager Digital Services, Tom Vroegop, will be giving a presentation on monitoring technologies and the use of drones in the application of beneficial insects and biological agents: ‘Digitalization and robotics are trending issues in our industry. I’m looking forward to sharing Koppert’s experience on this topic and talking about our Natutec products.’

Delegates will once again have the opportunity this year to unveil new products, present new research, learn about the latest regulatory situation, and liaise with fellow professionals. The keynote speech, panel discussion and Bernard Blum Award ceremony will be live-streamed on 19 October.

Koppert professionals will be present this year with a stand and look forward to welcoming and networking with fellow delegates. Our consultants and other experts will be at hand to share their knowledge and advice.
