Mode of action

Yazu contains a unique spectrum of bio-active compounds that provide dual protection.

After application, these compounds form a protective layer on the plant surface, preventing the germination of pathogenic spores. This protects leaves, fruits and stems, providing a strong preventive action.

Additionally, Yazu activates the plant immune system by upregulating PR genes, which encode Pathogenesis-Related proteins. These proteins play a key role in inhibiting the growth and development of pathogens, particularly by degrading and disrupting microbial cell walls.

Directions for use

Preparation

Before usage, always check the compatibility with tankmix partners. When preparing a tank mix, always pay attention to the mixing order. Make sure that the tank is half filled with water, after which SC (suspension concentrate) formulations, such as Yazu, are added first, followed by WP (wettable powders), and finally WG (water-dispersible granules) or EW (emulsion) formulations.

Application

Yazu can be applied as a foliar spray using conventional spraying equipment. For optimal efficacy, good crop coverage is required. Direct the spray onto both the upper and underside of the leaves. For best results, repeat the Yazu treatment at the recommended interval to maintain protective coverage on newly developing plant parts throughout the growing season.

Dosage

1.25 - 2.5 litres per hectare.

Environmental conditions

As Yazu is based on a non-living microbe, the efficacy is not impacted by relative humidity or temperature. It is recommended to for foliar sprays to apply at the end of the day or early morning.

Compatibility

Yazu is compatible for tank mixing with a wide range of other solutions but may be affected by some products. The product is safe for most beneficial insects and beneficial mites. Before using Yazu, always check the Koppert Side Effects App or consult your Koppert representative to confirm compatibility with other tank-mix partners and its safety on beneficial insects present in the crop.

Notes

Yazu has a rainfastness up to 20 mm of rain (or overhead irrigation).
